  • Kelly Alberda, M.D.

Hello! I’m Kelly Alberda MD and I am proud to be a Family Physician, a specialty dedicated to primary care. I graduated University of Colorado School of Medicine in 2000 and completed my Family Medicine Residency training in Billings, Montana in 2003. At that time, I moved with my young family to Austin for an additional one-year fellowship in obstetrics and women’s health.

After my training, I started as a Faculty Member of the Family Medicine Residency training program in Austin. My practice focused on family medicine, obstetrics, newborn care, pediatrics, and teaching these skills to future family physicians.

In 2019, I joined Drs. Margolin and Keinarth and while I no longer offer obstetric services, I continue to provide adult and pediatric primary care. I have experience in women’s health, including contraception services and procedures, such as Nexplanon and IUDs; adolescent health; chronic disease management; joint injections, as well as most common illnesses.

My philosophy in medicine, as in life, is very down-to-earth. I hope to provide care that is efficient, based on strong evidence, and value-oriented. I enjoy the opportunity to listen to my patient’s priorities and tailor treatment plans to reach goals of care.

In addition to my civilian practice, I joined the Air National Guard in 2000 and now serve as a Flight Surgeon for the Texas National Guard one weekend a month. My base is the 147th Attack Wing in Houston, Texas and I am proud to serve our state, our country, and my fellow service-members as an Air Force Physician.

North Austin is home to my family. My wife and I enjoy seeing our daughters become young adults as they are moving on from high school.

We spend our free time with family and friends, traveling, or you’ll find me on my mountain bike.
